The history of Khalis

According to the brand itself, Khalis Perfumes was founded in 2010 in the United Arab Emirates. Elsewhere on the same website, 2021 and Dubai are also mentioned. So it is not entirely clear which year is correct; 2010 does fit better with the ‘more than ten years’ of experience the brand mentions. Khalis does not say who founded the company.

The brand produces in its own factory in Ajman, one of the seven emirates. According to Khalis, the factory covers around 150,000 square feet and can fill about 25,000 bottles a day. The company also has its own development department. These figures come from the brand itself.

The range is large. Parfumo lists more than 450 Khalis fragrances: eau de parfums, eau de toilettes, body sprays, perfume oils, oud, bakhoor and air fresheners.

Where does Khalis come from?

Khalis is an Emirati brand. You can also see this in the barcodes, which start with 629, the country code of the Emirates. The fragrances fit the Emirati tradition: plenty of oud, saffron, rose, leather and amber. Some names also refer to the Emirates, such as Asad al Emarat (‘lion of the Emirates’). At the same time, Khalis has more modern, sweeter fragrances for a wide audience.

Parent company and sister brands

The company behind the brand is Khalis Perfumes. According to the brand, it includes four brands: Khalis, Ard Al Reehan, Eternal Perfumes and Reev. They are divided into a French and an oriental collection. At Arabmusk you will find the main brand, Khalis.

Do you like affordable oud fragrances? Then also take a look at Al Haramain, one of the oldest oud houses, or Nabeel, another brand from the Emirates.

Where is Khalis popular?

Khalis is mainly available in the Gulf region. Through wholesalers and online shops, the brand is also sold in India and Europe, among other places. The brand does not publish figures on its markets. At Arabmusk, the Ya Ghali air freshener is the best-selling Khalis product, followed by the oud fragrances.

Who is Khalis for?
