According to its own account, this family business started selling attar in Mumbai in 1925 and grew into a large perfume manufacturer with factories in India. In 2018 the group launched the Riiffs and Nusuk brands from Dubai. In a 2024 retrospective in Gulf News, the group says that Fariis was introduced in 2023, named after the fourth generation of the family.
