Guaiac – Palo Santo

Guaiac wood and palo santo are both resinous woods with a smoky, slightly sweet scent. Palo santo—literally “holy wood”—has traditionally been burned to cleanse spaces, and that incense-like quality carries over into perfumes. Guaiac is drier and more tar-like in character. Both add depth to smoky and woody compositions.
